Fender（フェンダー）は言わずと知れたエレキギター・ベースのナンバーワンブランドです。
Jaco Pastorious, Marcus Miller, Geddy Leeなど、数えきれないほどのトップアーティストに愛されます。

ジャズベースはプレシジョンベースの上位機種という位置付けでリリースされました。
その鋭くクリアなサウンドは多くのベーシストに愛され、現代に至っても圧倒的な支持を受け、輝く存在感を放っています。

本モデルは1977年製造のジャズベースです。

Ashボディ、Maple指板と黄金の組み合わせ。

ネック裏のスタンプを見ると「2271」ということで、シリアルと合わせて1977年と判断する根拠としました。

ポットデイトはボリュームが2つとも13776xxでCTSの1976年製、トーンが1377613でCTS1976年製と合致。

コンデンサはITWで、オリジナルかと思われます。

ピックアップは、通常グレイボビンかと思いますが、こちらはブラックボビン。
交換されている可能性を示唆します。

ネックピックアップのリード線の色から、Seymour Duncanの製品かとも思いましたが、断言は難しいです。

フレットの残りはおおよそ70%ほど。

トラスロッドの動作は若干硬めですが、90°程度の動作は確認済みです。

ネックの状態は1~5フレットあたりで順反り、それ以降が逆反り気味の波打ちと、若干のハイ起きがあります。
とはいえ、12フレット上の弦高で1弦側2.5mm、4弦側3.0mmで音詰まりやビリつきはなく演奏可能な程度のコンディションですね。悪くはありません。

チューナーはオリジナルに見えますが、取り付けビスの下穴補修をした跡があるため、同じ規格のペグに交換されていた時期があるかもしれません。
1弦と4弦のペグボタンに歪みがありますが、動作は良好です。

ナットは交換されているように見えます。
その点からはリフレットされている可能性を示唆するものです。
ハイポジションがローポジションに比べてフレットが低いため、過去にフレット擦り合わせがされたものと思われます。

ボディや塗装面の状態は、塗装剥げや打痕が多数あるビンテージらしいルックスです。
元々のエンドピンの下穴が埋められており、その少し横に新しくエンドピンが取り付けられています。

ボディエンドにはかなり大きめな打痕が点在しています。
塗装のクラックの一部は木部まで達していますが、現状演奏に支障をきたすほどのものはありません。

ボディバックにシール跡があります。コントロールキャビティのジャック付近には不自然に木部が抉られている箇所があります。

電装系の状態は、良好です。
ピックアップはおそらく交換されています。

ブリッジはBADDAS IIへ交換されています。
定番ですね。

Truss rod：tight a little, but can work roughly 90° at least
neck condition：There is a forward warp around the 1st to 5th frets, and after that there is a slight undulation with a reverse warp, and a slight high rise. The string height above the 12th fret is 2.5 mm on the 1st string side and 3.0 mm on the 4th string side, and it can be played without jamming or buzzing. The pegs appear to be original, but there are traces of repaired holes for the mounting screws, so it may have been replaced with pegs of the same standard at some point. There is some distortion in the 1st and 4th string peg buttons, but they work well. The nut appears to have been replaced. Therefore, there is a high possibility that it has been refretted. Since the fret height is lower in the high position than in the low position, it seems that the frets have been rubbed together in the past.
control：Neck volume, bridge volume, master tone
body condition：It has a vintage look with many peeling paint and dents. The pilot hole for the original end pin has been filled in, and a new end pin has been installed slightly to the side. There are quite large dents scattered at the end of the body. Some of the cracks in the paint have reached the wood, but there are currently no cracks that will interfere with performance. There are sticker marks on the body back. There is an area where the wood is unnaturally gouged near the control cavity jack.
