Hofner（ヘフナー）は所謂バイオリンベースなどの特徴的な楽器を製造するブランドです。
ポール・マッカートニーらが同社のベースを愛用したことで知られています。

こちらは1960年代のSenator Bassです。

大きなホロウボディだからこその、どこか抜け感のある大きなサウンドが魅力的。
それなりの使用感はありますが、演奏することそれ自体にたいして問題が大きい部分はなく、まさにプレイヤーズコンディションといったところですね。

フレットの残りはおおよそ60%ほど。
トラスロッドの動作は若干硬めですが、90°程度の動作は確認済みです。

ネックの状態はハイ起きと1弦側が4弦側よりも順反りの大きいねじれがあります。
12フレット上の弦高で1弦側2.2mm、4弦側2.7mmでビリつきや音詰まりはなく演奏可能です。

ブリッジの構造上、これ以上弦高を下げることはできません。

ヘッドの表面は塗装が剥離しています。
おそらくその影響でロゴが外れて欠品しています。
ヘッド裏とグリップはウェザーチェックが入っています。
3弦のナット溝は弦よりも幅広で切られています(もしくは欠けてしまっているようにも見えます)が、0フレットのベースのため演奏上問題ありません。

ボディや塗装面の状態は、全体的にウェザーチェックが入っています。
ボディサイドには15mmほどの木部の見える打痕があります。
電装系の状態は、ボリュームを回すとガリノイズが出ます。トーンの動作は良好です。

ストラップピンが2つともSchallerのロックピンへ交換されています。

Truss rod：tight a little, but can work roughly 90° at least
neck condition：The high wake and the first string side have a larger twist than the 4th string side. The string height on the 12th fret is 2.2mm on the 1st string side, 2.7 mm of the 4th string side, and can be played without stiffness or clogging. Due to the structure of the bridge, the string height cannot be lowered anymore. The surface of the head is peeled off. Perhaps the logo is off and missing. The back of the head and the grip contain the weather check. The nut groove of the 3rd string is wider than the string (or it looks like it is missing), but there is no problem in playing because it is a 0 fret base.
