Gibson（ギブソン）は数多くの名器を生み出したいわばギター界の王様。
ギターが特に人気がありますが、個性的なルックスとロックなサウンドを持つベースも非常に人気があります。
本モデルは1976年製のRipper Bassです。
Gene SimmonsなんかもRipper Bassを弾いていたと思います。
Gibsonっぽい低域から中域にかけてのぶ厚さを感じるロックなサウンド。
ロータリースイッチによって以下の通りのPUの配線が選択可能です。
1.ネック＋ブリッジ(シリーズ/正位相)

3.ネック＋ブリッジ(パラレル)
4.ネック＋ブリッジ(シリーズ/逆位相)
スケールは34.25インチでした。
フレットの残りはおおよそ50%ほど。
トラスロッドの動作は良好です。
ネックの状態は若干のハイ起きがあります。
現状12フレット上の弦高は1弦側3.0mm、4弦側3.5mmで音詰まりやビリつきはなく演奏可能です。
楽器の構造上これ以上弦高を下げることはできません。打痕、スクラッチ傷、塗装痩せが散見されます。
ボディや塗装面の状態は、色焼け、打痕、バックル痕、塗装剥げが目立ちます。
ブリッジカバーの4弦側付近に、何かが取り付けられていたと思われるビスが中折れした状態で残っています。
電装系の状態は、良好です。
明確な改造点は見られませんでした。

neck condition：There is a slight rise. Currently, the string height above the 12th fret is 3.0mm on the 1st string side and 3.5mm on the 4th string side, and it can be played without any jamming or buzzing. Due to the structure of the instrument, it is not possible to lower the string height any further. There are dents, scratches, and thinning of the paint.

body condition：Discoloration, dents, buckle marks, and paint peeling are noticeable. Near the 4th string side of the bridge cover, there is a broken screw that appears to have been attached to something.
